Coffee cup and saucer on an embroidered rushnyk, with a sunflower and a candle

AI coffee-cup reading in the Ukrainian folk style

Coffee Grounds Reader is a free app that reads the grounds left in your coffee cup. You photograph the inside of the cup, and one of four folk seers finds the shapes in the grounds, marks them on your photo and explains what each one traditionally means.

Every reading follows the Slavic way of reading a cup: the rim shows the coming days to a month, the sides show months to a year, and the bottom shows the distant outcome. The meanings come from classic symbol dictionaries, not from a template.

How it works

  1. Finish your coffee and turn the cup upside down on the saucer.
  2. Wait about a minute while the grounds drain and set.
  3. Photograph the inside of the cup from above and tap where the handle was.
  4. The seer marks the shapes she finds and explains each one, with practical advice.
